The Way She Sees It

Under: Random Thoughts, Uncategorized @ 10:13 pm on Monday, 03.6.06

The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating- in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life.

When did you become so wise?? :P

You’re right, commitment is liberating, it frees you of fear and worry (2 emotions that I try my best to avoid), which is why it’s always hard to let go of its comfort.

Rihab,

The minute I met you

But doesn’t it -more or so- seem that many people don’t see commitment as liberating as the way ’she’ sees it? in reality, the majority fear commitment.

As for your last point, some people commit for the wrong reasons, so what seemed comfort at a given moment may turn into a living hell in the long term.

I know, I am quite contagious :)

Many who? Men or women? If it’s women then no, the majority crave commitment because of its comfort and the stability it offers.

As for your last point –> itla3i min rasi ya Iman!
