Another Monday!
I cannot believe we are closing in on the last week of April. I took a few days work starting this Thursday. After receiving an email from my boss about time off and vacation requests, I put in a request reading: For now, I’d like to take April 27, 28, and 31st off. Thanks! She replied, Iman: There is no April 31. Do you mean May 1? I felt a little stupid actually, and could’ve replied saying I meant May 1st, but that wouldn’t have covered it up so I replied: Actually, I thought April was 31 days! I have no idea why. But yes, May 1st. (I can’t believe April is half way though!) Thanks.
Anyway, here is something so that reminds me of those guys right off the Cicero Exit off the Stevenson who, no matter what the weather is - bitter cold or scorching hot - are standing on the side with their signs waiting for the light to turn red so that they can walking in between cars flashing their signs that are begging for $$$ in your face. The tendency is to always lock my doors if they weren’t locked already! Don’t ask me why, but they scare me.
