On Character
Do you ever stop and ask yourself whether you’re an honorable, ethical, honest, decent person? How can you really judge that?
Here is a list of questions that were suggested we ask ourselves that will help us better understand who we truly are…I doubt that these questions are meant to be answered immediately, they’re rather a set of questions requiring deep inner thoughts and firm honesty… and no matter what your answers are, I am sure that once faced with the real life situation that will determine your true character your actions may completely be different than your answers…
So here they are - some of which I added my personal touch to…
Are you the kind of person you want to be?
Are you fair? Generous? (I hate cheap people!)
Are you loyal? (I guess you have to define loyalty first…right?)
Are you kind?
Do you really care about others? (selfish people are vulgar!)
Can you put another’s needs before your own? Are you already doing that? ( Why? But why not?)
What does love mean to you? (refrain from the movies and lyrics’ idea of love..or on second thought, perhaps you shouldn’t …it’s all part of your character!)
Can you love deeply?
What are your deepest fears? (one of mine…snakes! I hate them) Are they real? How can you dispel them? If there is nothing that can be done, how can you live with them?
How much courage do you have? (seriously…how much? )
Do you tell the truth to yourself?
Are you telling the truth now?
