You know what?
I opened my email to find a message from a friend I have not spoken to in ages…it was very nice hearing from her, though it was more of a request than a ‘I’m just emailing to see how you’re doing’ type of email…still, it was very nice hearing from her… her signature, though I’ve read many times before, was the best part about the email…every single word in it is so true. It’s loaded with positive thoughts and inspiration…it’s promising and encouraging…it’s reminding me that I am the master of my day. So all the negative people out there in the world cannot ruin it for me. Only I can. I have a choice and I shall not. Okay, I’m starting to feel a little nauseous, so here is the quote:
Today is mine. It is unique. Nobody in the world has one like it. It holds the sum of all past experience and all my future potential. I can fill it with joyous memories or ruin it with fruitless worry. If painful recollections of the past come to mind or frightening thoughts of the future, I can put them away. They cannot spoil today for me. It is mine.
