I got back from Mayyada’s house a short while ago … a cozy evening saturated with delicious food, yummy healthy & yummyyyy fattening dessert to satisfy all tastes…serious talk, silly talk, humorous talk… smoke free! the girls are trying to quit …New year’s resolutions can be a good thing after all … 7 days into it and they’re all doing pretty well! Mayyada did a very good job with the menu…she admitted spending 15 whole minutes on the phone placing the delivery order! As for the desserts, well, baking takes too much time and their busy schedules don’t allow for such time…all of them are healthcare professionals with very demanding work schedules, so I don’t blame them for resorting to the easy way of simply ordering and picking up!

I know these girls through my sister… it’s been over 7 years …they’re her close friends as well as colleagues … they’re simply the best…I love their simplicity, style, way of thinking, honesty with each other, sense of humor and their over all attitude! our similarties, unique differences and acceptance of such are what keeps our friendship so — true and entertaining!

This evening’s get together made me think about my time spent online…My time online from work is defined…and - believe it or not - has a purpose …from home, for the most it has a purpose other than just passing time… I’ve talked about this whole online vs. real-life subject before…but now, and again I’m starting to wonder how real is e-friendship…a friendship that is missing the human face to face interaction?
Right now, I’m convinced that spending time - no matter how little - online talking to e-friends whom I’ve never met is time wasted that I could’ve spent on something else! people could be so strange…and sometimes give themselves the right to interact with others in the utmost disrespectful way. Though I consider myself a very understanding person, I really don’t need any more added drama to my life..I don’t have time for it! and I will never allow such silly crap into my days. For the most part, I don’t need to chat to someone half way across the world when I have the most wonderful and understanding friends and sisters in the world within just a few miles from me… I seriously lost interest in all this e-stuff…it’s starting to create pathetic drama that I can definitely live without!

I haven’t had a get together a my house in a while, so next get together will be at my house …since I love to cook, I’ll do it all….theme: South American …and yes of course…seafood is on the menu…any requests? plesae let me know…I don’t have the patience to bake, so I have a request: each of you bring the dessert of your choice, please…and Liil, leave your attitude at home for that evening :P!
