Duh moment!

Under: Uncategorized, Chicago, hahaha @ 12:21 pm on Saturday, 01.27.07

As I walking inside a restaurant to buy some falafel and bread this morning, a young beautiful woman walking side by side me got in line first …

Beautiful woman: Can I have a dozen falafel?

Cashier: Sure.

Beautiful woman: But first, can you tell me how many pieces come in a dozen?

Cashier: (with a smile) 12.

Beautiful woman: hehehe thanks. A dozen it is then.

hahahah … maybe classifying that under ‘beauty or brain’ category is a bit too harsh, for we all can have one of those ‘duh moments!’ I speak of experience of course!

You guys have a weird dozen in Chicago .. over here, we adopted the metric system and a dozen is officially 10 pieces now.

7aram 3alaiki, maybe she never heard of the word!

Well, if I was in her place I would check before. You see a dozen is truly a 12 pieces set, but some people consider 13 pieces a dozen, some consider 10 a dozen!

It’s just like the Hot Dog buns dilemma!

So she actually might be a genius for checking this out before getting the Falafel…

She’s smart and she’s beautiful! :D

Right, did you even figure out why the hot dog buns dilemma exists? :D

maybe she’s both beautiful and smart! who knows:P but i can tell you for sure, she is beautiful!

maybe she wears a hijab to cover the big hole in her head.

fyi, a baker’s dozen has 13.
one for tasting.

and a fresh, warm piece of falafel sounds really good right now.

It’s not that stupid…i think i would ask how many are in a dozen and wink and say “o mishan el 7ilween” hoping he will say 15….or just to make sure it’s not 10 in a dozen ..because you know what ..i have paid $3.99 for 4 pieces of falafel in this state …do you think they will have a problem jacking me with a 10 piece dozen???!!

I go to a middle-eastern place last week and get a mazzeh sampler (menue indicates for 2 people)…they put only falafeltain on the damn sa7en!!! yes they were double the size of a regular falafeleh but it had a whole in it !!
