blouzaat?

Me: Can you please go to this one place that sells what seem to be awesome t-shirts. It’s called blouzaat…located in Jabal Amman – Rainbow street. You know my taste…

She: I’m going to change my number. lol. okay fine. I’ll look into it. Anything for you…on my head :D

—–

One day later:

She: Nizar and I are going to go find your t-shirt place.

Me: Call me, I’ll give him directions (never mind that I’m geographically challenged!)

She: He knows where first circle is. I will let you know if we need help.

Me: Ok. Rainbow street. Close to British Council. (again, never mind that I’m geographically challenged!) Get me an expressive one in Arabic (nizar can read, right?) I have a meeting at 11

—-

Just a little after 12… four missed calls and a text message:

She: We can’t f***** find the place.

Me: Ugh. told you I was going to a meeting!
She: We walked up and down and asked 3 different people. No one heard of it.

Me: LOL! really? (I was picturing her asking for directions in her sad sad sad sad Arabic!) It’s okay. Go to blouzaat.com when you can. Thanks for trying. Love u :d

She: Wallah we looked. If you want, ask Ola maybe she knows. What’s the temp there?

Me: It’s 50.

She: It’s like 85 here. Hot…

—-

20 minutes later:

She: What do you want me to do about the t-shirts?

—-

So, Ola, do you know?:D How come ‘no one’ heard of blouzaat? Isn’t it supposed to be almost the hottest thing in town? Seriously though, those t-shirts look pretty creative and I definitely would’ve liked to get a few before next June!!

Hottest thing on the blogosphere. Mainstream is a whole other story.
They have some creative ideas. Just like the shirts you see in the malls over here.

Wish them luck.. they sure will need it :)

Well, good luck to them… Is the place called blouzaat? anyway, it’s not a big deal if she can’t find it; there are plenty of creative shops here too, but it would’ve been nice to support them! win-win!

I love the buckle store…www.buckle.com. hot stuff!

Moey, you’re such a baby! Keep your advices to yourself!

I didn’t say anything bad about them, I said they’re just a Tshirt place! Trendy, uneque or whatever! The whole thing is busting the doors of malls over here and there’s nothing new!

And I will continue to wish them luck! Sho 7aram!?

Well, it doesn’t need to be famous and the hottest at town to be successful. FGS! The store opened only 25 days ago! You people just want to complain about everything. And BTW, a baby can locate it. W they are creative, and unique, I agree with Moey, it’s the first time we have Arabic T-Shirts, it makes me feel proud to wear such creative one.

You people just want to complain about everything.

I’m complaining about the fact that my friends cannot find the place, after all I did mention that I would like to get a few of what looks to be pretty creative t-shirts! AND considering that it’s a new opening, that people in that area would have heard about it…

And BTW, a baby can locate it.

Maybe…but they’re not locals. They’re visitors from out of the country!

Anyway, relax dude!:)

Thanks Iman, I skipped the first few blogs posting as I thought it was another band! :S Now, shopping for American relatives will be easy, and I will learn some cool new Arabic phrases. :)
