When I was young, inexperienced, and unaware of the condition of the Arab world, hearing this word would make me wanna recite Fakhri Baruodi’s poem in ecstasy:
بلاد العرب أوطاني ………. من الشام لبغدان
و من نجد إلى يمن ……… إلى مصر فتطوان
فلا حد يباعدنا …….. و لا دين يقرفقنا
لسان الضاد يجمعنا ……… بغسان و عدنان
Now that I am aware of our recent condition, the word depresses me.

The first thing that goes through my mind, is to cry over the lost dream!
Secratea, isn’t the last part of poem…
بقحطانٍ و عدنانِ

My friend when I was in the 3rd grade, her name was Aroub… Many pleasant memories although I only knew her for one year

Thanks everyone…that was pretty interesting…the first thing that comes to my mind when I think 3oroobeh is a knight…representing courageousness, honor, strength, resilience, loyalty, power and fairness…
