I understand what you mean about separate weddings seeming to defeat this purpose. But, the only reason separate weddings are separate is because the bride wears hijab, and would still like to dress up and look like a princess (with hair) on her special day. How is she supposed to accommodate those two things? If she has a mixed wedding, then she will have to cover her hair, and not reveal her vanity to other men (if that's what her hijab means to her). How is that fun for her or even the guy? In a separate wedding, her husband can come in a few times and spend some time with her while she spends the rest of the time with her friends and family. Seems like a good compromise to me. Ok, this is getting too long... Iman :)
