I don’t know why we know the right thing to do but continue to do the opposite, sometimes. I guess it’s the fact that we let our feelings guide us. you know what? it’s not necessarily feelings . They should find a word for that thing that makes us do something that is known to be wrong. sometimes it’s a belief or a feeling or something we cannot describe …said someone 3am btitfalsaf.

as to answer your why Q: cuz i totally agree with you. we call that thing “the devil within.” and so, you should have told your friend, DUHH it’s obvious, that’s what it’s called! :D

When i said “mundane,” i was referring to your ability to transfer what seems an ordinary verbal exchanges to something humorous… walik, i was basically praising your sarcasm skills :D

This conversation in this post was a serious one minus my answer! I was too busy thinking about blogging it that I didn’t have an answer when it was brought up.lol. But it doesn’t have to be the devil within for all of us. It could be called something else!

Also, I was joking about the “why mundane” part. Awww, you flatter me :shy: don’t stop. :d

the devil has nothing to do with this, your friend needs to exercise more control if he/she is not happy with the outcome of following her/his initial gut feeling or whatever.

yeah, it might be called something else but the “devil” metaphor is a “metaphor” not an actual “devil” that explains it quite well lol :p

you know, like when we do something good, it comes from the “angle” within, and when we do something bad it comes from the “devil?” within… i’m not trying to say that we “lack agency” when doing “good” or “bad” in order not to be blamed, but in your friend’s case, who acknowledges the fact that she is being driven by a hidden force ya3nii, the “devil within” explains it well :)
