my arabic sucks!!!! i cannot spell  :(

I was just singing  silently  “il hawa hawaya, ana l hawa hawaya …” for the greatest singer to have ever lived and who will ever live  …i tried writing the lyrics down as i silently hummed them  …and got frustrated as I knew and deeply sensed that they looked just absolutely wrong!!!

well I think its okay since you’ve been living abroad for a long time and not practicing arabic alot ( I only suppose that). However, I live here and I still make extremely horrible spelling mistakes (btw I am totally ashamed because of this)oh and guess what in three languages arabic,italian and english, but it happens

I encourge you to keep practicing it helps,believe me :)

what arabic are you talking about?
Dialects (because el hawa hawaya is in egyptian dialect ;) ) or classic arabic.
Well, I speak my dialect fluently =P and I guess I can write it down fluently too^^I am very good at other dialects too (egyptian, syrian, moroccan ,lebanese), jealous? =P
You don’t have to, I learnt arabic at school and high school, and you know what? we felt veru rediculous when we were obliged to speak classic arabic in class!!
but I am AGAINST considering dialects as “”writable” languages”; only classic is “writable”! One day I found “egyptian” as a language in wikipedia’s languages column! I was mad.. really mad..
