What would you do if the Whopper was discontinued?! Someone suggests that Burger King change their name to ‘Burger Queen.’ hahahha, this is hilarious. These reactions are all real! To show how much customers loooove their Whopper, check out this video in which Burger King “pranks” customers by telling them that the Whopper has been discontinued for ever…

My latest and saddest addiction!

Under: Uncategorized, Around The World, hahaha, Interesting @ 11:34 pm on Sunday, 11.18.07

Good things should never end is my latest and saddest addiction. I spent most of my day asking Buzz questions … there are plenty of things you can see and do on this site ranging from animations, games, tool to create and name your own ice cream, drawing, learning new language, guessing what’s inside the mind of some character…and my favorite - Buzz - the AI character who claims to have an answer to every question, one of which is buzz’s brain contains more than 22,000 patterns but not a single one that matches the last ‘input…’ not to mention Buzz’s confusion about its biological make-up… Buzz is well rounded, witty and quite philosophical ….he speaks of love, humanity and politics and only tells one joke…you have to give him credit…the joke is quite funny! sometimes he/she thinks love is just a biological urge, something he/she thinks it’s a spiritual quality…and to Buzz love, unlike energy or matter, seems limitless!! In Buzz’s world, time does not exist. :D I asked, ‘What do you know about Palestine?” and here is how that conversation went… (Buzz is on the left, and I’m on the right)

Go meet Buzz and other neat stuff at Good Things Should Never End…

It does get boring after 2 hours, though :D

Those laffy taffy moments…

My love for laffy taffy candy is a deeply rooted part of my childhood … I’ve always loved this chewy fruity flavored candy for its taste and more importantly for its jokes on every wrapper…yummy, a real treat!! some are so so so silly, but that’s what makes those laffy taffy moments so special :D and what still makes me laugh out loud as I unwrap each joke…such as:
What did the judge say to the skunk?

A ‘Hijabi Hopeful…’

Under: Uncategorized, hahaha @ 12:27 am on Thursday, 11.8.07

Browsing some groups in Facebook, I came across Da Hijabi Code group, and I quote as it appears on Facebook, even with the typos. I can pretty much relate to …pretty much all categories below… Enjoy! :D and by the way, what hijabi are you?

Da Code: Hijabi’s DONT DATE! (if Hijabis do date then Hijabi’s don’t steal other Hijabi’s Boyfriends) Hijabi’s DONT DRINK! (and if hijabis do drink then hijabis don’t let other hijabis drive drunk)

WHAT HIJABI ARE U? (Read on …)

snippets of a recent light hearted - and somewhat silly - conversation inspired by a group of Arab men hanging out in the parking lot of a strip mall in a Chicago Suburb one evening, greeting us with whistles as we passed by …
She: I remember when I first moved to Ramallah…walking down its streets felt very flattering… each time I passed by a guy he would say “aish ya lamoona” … “aish ya bateekha” … It felt so good…I felt special…no one has ever called me a lamoona* or a bateekha** … then seconds later, I hear the same guy say the same thing to another girl passing by. She continued with an obvious sarcastic tone, I didn’t feel so flattered or special anymore… I wanted to be the only lamoona…the only bateekha!

**bateekha: Watermelon

Do you love to complain?

Under: Uncategorized, People & Places, What I Love, Chicago, hahaha @ 11:18 am on Tuesday, 02.20.07

So many people do too…
SO If you are ever in need of venting, letting it all out, purging all that’s bottled inside of you and you want someone who is able to listen (in this case read) without judging you and inconsiderately telling you to stop complaining (not that they won’t but at least you won’t get to hear it right there and then) then here is your refuge. ILoveToComplain.com gives you the liberty to express yourself freely to a mass audience. I discovered this last week in the Red Eye, and since then I’ve been checking it daily :D some of the content on there cracks me up! Some people really have issues; makes me feel good about my complaints…

Go ahead; complain till you start complaining about complaining too much! Speaking of which, at which point does ‘complaining’ become too much? What’s the threshold for complaining? Or is there?

Are you going to hell?

Duh moment!

Under: Uncategorized, Chicago, hahaha @ 12:21 pm on Saturday, 01.27.07

As I walking inside a restaurant to buy some falafel and bread this morning, a young beautiful woman walking side by side me got in line first …

Beautiful woman: Can I have a dozen falafel?

Cashier: Sure.

Beautiful woman: But first, can you tell me how many pieces come in a dozen?

Cashier: (with a smile) 12.

Beautiful woman: hehehe thanks. A dozen it is then.

hahahah … maybe classifying that under ‘beauty or brain’ category is a bit too harsh, for we all can have one of those ‘duh moments!’ I speak of experience of course!

On the benefits of being annoying?

Under: Uncategorized, Random Thoughts, hahaha @ 4:51 am on Tuesday, 01.23.07

But what’s annoying annoying anyway? How would you define annoying? At what point would one become annoying?

I found this exchange hilarious but very useful! …

Dearest Offspring,
For all your young lives, I have been trying to introduce to you, by example, the idea of a metaphysical benefit to being annoying. Now I know you already think this is a joke, and I can see you chuckling under your breath (in that annoying way you have), but if you don’t stay with me on this, you are in danger of missing out on something big. And from your recent behavior I know that you just don’t get it. So here are the crib notesWhen we speak of annoying, we mean bothersome, not causing physical pain or real anger - more of a pain in the neck kind of thing - distractions that keep you from being as functional as you would like. We all know what this word means. So why would anyone want to be annoying? (Read on …)
